You may be comparing a product claim with published research, planning a study, or trying to understand why a promising finding does not hold up elsewhere. A scientific literature review should make that problem clearer, not simply make your reading list longer.

A focused review can map a research landscape, compare competing explanations, assess support for a specific claim or identify the evidence gaps before new work begins. Research managers, product teams and independent founders can hire a researcher for a literature review without arriving with a finished protocol.

Before work starts, we agree on the question, audience, source coverage, depth of appraisal and output. The deliverable may be a cited narrative synthesis, an evidence table with commentary, or a structured report. The format follows what you need to do with the answer.

• A record of the agreed search sources, terms, dates and limits.
• A study table describing relevant methods, findings and limitations.
• A synthesis that keeps conflicting findings and indirect evidence visible.
• Verified citations, source-linked conclusions and the questions still unresolved.

We define what counts as relevant evidence before the search expands: the population or system, the outcome, the setting and the comparison where needed. I search the agreed scholarly sources, follow useful citation trails and incorporate material you supply. Access restrictions and unavailable full texts are recorded, not quietly treated as reviewed.

Methodological appraisal asks whether each study can answer your question. Design, sample, controls, measurement, analysis and directness all matter. A large number of papers does not rescue an unsupported inference.

Where findings conflict, I examine whether different methods, populations or assumptions explain the disagreement. The synthesis separates what the sources report from my interpretation, so you can challenge the reasoning rather than take a polished paragraph on trust.

AI can assist with search-term expansion, organisation, deduplication and first-pass extraction. It does not get to invent a citation, turn an abstract into a full-text appraisal or settle a methodological disagreement because one answer reads more fluently.

Focused assignments start at €595 excluding VAT under the existing Rapid Research Intelligence offer. A tightly scoped literature review using available sources may fit the normal 48–72 hour delivery window after scope and inputs are confirmed. A broad literature landscape or a more demanding appraisal needs an agreed schedule and quote.

This is not automatically a formal systematic review. Exhaustive searching, preregistered protocols, duplicate independent screening and meta-analysis require a separate scope. If your intended use calls for those methods, we establish that before promising a fast delivery.

Send the question, how you will use the result, any key papers or existing source library, and your deadline. I will propose the coverage, output, price and delivery window before you commission the work.

The review supports your research or decision process. It does not replace clinical, regulatory, legal or financial advice, and it cannot create certainty where the literature is weak. Sometimes the useful answer is a clearly documented gap.
